Chicken Scratch

20-10

So I'm officially what others call the big 3-0. I prefer 20-10 myself. ;) We went to dinner last night with family and friends. It was a great time and I got some fun goodies. I got some money towards my Wacom I'm getting, some chicken stuff, Nancy Drew books (I read them as a child and now want to collect them for Kaleigh), a nice watch, a photo printer, a massage membership, and a Webkins. LOL It's a chicken! Here she is. I named her Corinne.

Call me a dork but I'm having fun setting up her virtual home and playing with her. It cracks me up. :)

Happy Birthday, Boo!

Today my daughter, Kaleigh, turned 5. Wow, where did the time go??!? I'm amazed at the sweet, smart, beautiful little girl that she has become. Every day I am blessed more by watching her grow. I can't believe just 5 short years have passed since she came into our lives. It seems like yesterday when the doctor placed her in my arms and my world was forever changed. From infancy to toddlerhood to my almost-done-preschooler. Wow! Tomorrow I take her to the elementary school she will start in the fall to register her for kindergarten. I'm so not prepared for this! Where did my baby go? 5 already? I am excited to begin this next phase of her childhood. Every year just keeps getting better and better. But it's also hard to let go of these past few years. It just goes too fast. Like the song in the birthday slideshow I made her says... let her be little.

Happy 5th Birthday, Boo! You are so special to me. I love you to the moon and back.

Well, amidst normal life I have been quite busy creating. I just finished up some design team projects for the month of March at Scrapfreak. I got to play around with some cute stuff from Cherry Arte. I'm too lazy to add the photos to my blog so for now you can check out my work here:

Also some exciting news! I was in the latest Scenic Route newsletter and I'm in their site gallery for a topiary I created using their Lynden line. I also have a layout using that same line that will be added to their gallery shortly. You can view it here.

Anyways, just wanted to share what I've been up to lately in the scrappin' world! Now I have to get back to planning my daughter's 5th birthday party for next weekend. I can't believe my baby is turning 5! Well, while I'm sharing my work, here is the invite I made for her party. :)
