1. Happy Easter! I hope everyone had a great day. We spent the day at my parents'. We didn't get to do an Easter egg hunt because of the rain we had last night, and Kaleigh was too busy playing with my step-sister's kids to worry about it. But at the end of the evening she was sad she didn't get to hunt eggs so I told her we'd do it tomorrow after school. ;) Here's Kaleigh in her Easter dress this morning. Have I mentioned before she likes to pose? LOL
3. Hubby's home!!! Brendan left last Saturday for a week-long trip to Moab, Utah, for a big Jeep wheelin' event. He had a blast but is tired and happy to be home. Kaleigh and I are so happy to have him home, too! I can't remember the last time we've been apart that long, and Kaleigh sure hasn't been more than a couple days without him. I'm glad he had a fun time and is safely home. :)
3. My Freaky friend, Bree, was in town this past week and Monica and I had lunch with her on Tuesday. She's super sweet! She travels to lots of cool places for her job, and she brought me back this cool little chickie doll from Paris. Thanks, Bree!
4. Speaking of Bree and Monica, I'm going on a retreat with them in May to Atlanta! I'm so excited! I'm booking the flight tomorrow and counting down the days. I will get to meet a few more Freaks. It's always fun to meet someone IRL that you know online. :)
5. I have been OBSESSED this week with Pirates of the Caribbean. I've seen all 3 movies before a while back but nothing sparked anything crazy for me. Then I was watching *At World's End* last weekend, and I was hooked. I went out and bought all 3 on DVD and watched 1 a night for 3 nights in a row. Then on the 4th night I watched *At World's End* again. And I've been listening to the soundtrack NON-STOP this week. I'm trying to figure out where this came from? It's become my Twilight, and Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner are my Edwards! LOL Also Kaleigh has gotten into POTC with me and said she wants to be Elizabeth for Halloween (that's my girl!) Look at this costume I found! A little early, I know, but still. ;) Now after all that, I need some eye candy. :D
6. I took Kaleigh's picture in the bluebonnets this weekend. For you non-Texas gals, the bluebonnet is our state flower, and it's tradition to take your child's picture in them each year. I took Kaleigh Friday evening, but I didn't do a good job on my photography so I wasn't happy with them. I took her back again last night but the dang wind was crazy. I did get some decent shots but I wish we could have played longer and not had her hair blowing all over. Maybe next year. But here's one I do like.
She's getting so big! :( And speaking of, she got her first loose tooth tonight! I don't like this growing up stuff. :(
7. Kaleigh's birthday is this Thursday. I'm volunteering on that day in her class and taking cupcakes for her class' afternoon snack. Then Brendan and I will take Kaleigh to GattiTown that evening. It's become a tradition and Kaleigh always looks forward to it. Then we're having her friends' birthday party Friday evening at the house (a PJ party with just the girls) and Sunday we're having family over for cake and ice cream (which also happens to be my birthday but I quit counting a few years ago LOL). I don't think I shared earlier but here's the invite I made for her party (with fake info, of course).
I probably won't be online much this week since I'll be cleaning house and getting ready for Kaleigh's birthday. I hope everyone has a great week!
