So I came home Sunday from a scrappy retreat. I was going to blog my Sunday Seven but after little sleep all weekend, a full tummy after hubby fixed steaks for a dinner, and a pina colada... I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie with hubby. Then I was going to blog last night but I worked a while getting pics edited, cropped, and printed so I could scrap some layouts. So here I am today. Better late than never, right? ;)
1. As I said, I went on a scrappy retreat this weekend at my mom's retreat. We had so much fun! We ate all weekend, chatted all weekend, laughed all weekend... gotta love girl time! I scrapped some, went shopping, enjoyed nature, and took lots of photos. Here's our group on the last day and a couple photos I took of the hummingbirds. Mon and I stalked the feeder all weekend trying to get shots of them.
2. A few of us went into town on Friday for lunch and shopping on the square. There are several antique/junk stores I love. One of them has had a chandelier I've had my eye on for a while now. I asked about it this weekend and without me even asking, she came down from $65 to $40 on it. Score! I'm going to keep the red and yellow parts but paint the rest white and then hang it in my studio. I can't wait!
3. Marks Paper Company is the May sponsor at Scrapfreak this month. They have two pretty paper lines and even offer those two lines in a digital format as well. I got to play with the digital versions this weekend as part of my design team stuff and created these two layouts.

This past Thursday I shared my April DT projects I created for Scrapfreak. You can view those here. :)
4. And more DT stuff... here's a layout I created for Crystal Wilkerson's CT. I'm so lovin' her latest kit, The 365 Challenge {May} Kit. I love the soft colors, the patterns, and the adorable owls!
5. Mother's Day is this weekend. I need to get busy on cards and gifts! For myself I've asked Brendan and Kaleigh for a shepherd hook plant hanger with a couple hanging baskets. ;)
6. I can publicy share now. My hubby turned in his resignation at his job last week and started his new job yesterday. I'm so happy for him! His job was really bringing him down and stressing him out. His new job has lots of opportunities for him and I pray it's just the beginning of great things for him. I just had to share. :)
7. Well, we're enjoying Spring Break II. Our district is out this entire week because of the swine flu. That also cancels dance class this evening and Daisy Girl Scouts tomorrow. So Kaleigh and I are just hanging out. I've got some layouts planned to scrap and hopefully might tackle a few projects on my To Do list. I hope everyone has a great week!
Congrats for DH! So glad he is going to be better! Sorry that your schools were closed- but glad you could enjoy the time out. Love your pages too!!

I am new to your blog. I saw your studio pic in 2peas and just had to see the rest.
I have enjoyed your blog tremendously and hope to come back soon!
You mentioned you went on a scrapbook retreat to your "mom's retreat".
Does your mom have a place that she does scrapbook retreats? Could you tell me the name or provide a link to the retreat site?
Thanks!
PS
I loved your studio!
