Kaleigh started 2nd (SECOND!) grade on Monday. Man, where does the time go??!? Anyways, we inadvertently started a tradition of her wearing plaid on the first day of school. She wore plaid shorts in Kindergarten and a plaid skirt last year. I didn't realize this trend until last year while looking back on her Kindergarten and 1st grade first day pictures. So this year, while school clothes shopping, I bought her another plaid skirt and told her she had to wear it the first day. LOL We'll see how long we can continue this tradition. I love fun ones like that that start on their own. :)
Wow, she's changed so much! *sniff sniff*
And I've also started a *tradition* of giving her teacher a small plant on the first day of school. The mums were kind of poopy at Walmart but hopefully these will open up soon and bloom pretty. And, for the record, I was the only mom in her classroom taking pics and bringing the teacher a gift. I wonder how much longer Kaleigh will let me do this. I've been hearing horror stories about when the child won't let the mom do that anymore. :(
Now I need to get back to my bathroom (our powder room) remodel. I painted the walls yesterday and then last night and today have been spray-painting mirror frames and other decor items for the room. Hopefully I'll get everything hung up this evening and will be able to share tomorrow! :)
Such a great idea!!!! Love the skirt. Very cute! She does look so big now compared to the first pic.

Man, she knows how to pose! You are so in trouble. Love the pics. And kind of happy to see her moving out of the pink and into some red! She's growing up, Shannon!
