Last week was my little sister's birthday and I babysat my nephew while she went out to dinner with friends. While babysitting him, I took his footprints and made this little project for her birthday gift.
Originally I tried stamping the heart directly from his footprints but I would get one footprint stamped nicely and then mess it up with the second footprint. So I finally gave up and took each footprint separately, scanned them in, and using Photoshop overlayed them into the heart shape. I added his name and the date and printed it out. Then I stitched a heart around it and framed. My little sister loved it. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Great idea!

Thanks, Robyn! I just used regular acrylic paint that you buy in the craft stores. :) Thanks for visiting my blog and be sure to link your project. I would love to see it! :)

I'm so going to do this with both my kids! Thinking of doing my 3 yr old daughter & then her 3 month old brother over hers... Two hearts in one.

Did you just stitch right onto the paper with embroidery thread? I want to do this with my 4 month old daughter's feet for a christmas present for my husband.

Yes, I did! I lightly traced a heart, took my paper piercer and poked holes along the heart, and then hand-stitched with embroidery thread. :)
