Photo Booth Fun

I was blog surfing tonight (and got sucked in as it's 3am but I have a sick child and our whole schedule is off right now). Anyways, I discovered this cool site where you can make photo booth pics on your computer using your webcam. You can make them in either the 1x4 strip format or the 2x2 grid AND you can do color or B&W.

It's not in English but I played around a bit and figured some things out. Click on the photo booth to start it. When you're ready click the flashing red button and it will take 4 photos. When it's done it will display your photos. To the left will be the options where you can choose the format (1x4 or 2x2) and color (color or B&W). Below the photo booth are other options:
*Telecharger - Save
*Imprimer - Print
*Partager via Facebook - Share on FB
*Permalien - It will give you a link you can copy to share your photos.
*Inprimer votre photo sur un objet - It takes you to a site where you can order your photos on different objects (again that site is not in English).
*Recommencer - It takes you back to the photo booth to play again.

Cosmo Cricket had a giveaway yesterday on their blog for their new Early Bird fabric and I WON!!!!!!!!!! Look here! Early Bird is my most favoritest CC line ever and I absolutely love that they made this line into a fabric as well. I can't wait to get it! I want to make an apron and some cute altered decor for my home. I'm so freakin' excited! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!

Blogging for Breast Cancer

 

Breast cancer unfortunately has touched my life. I lost my sweet Nanny to it almost 3 years ago (the 3-year anniversary is actually a week from today). I have several friends who have battled and beat this disease and I've read and heard countless other stories of those who have dealt with it. I truly believe we have to keep fighting for research and funding to find a cure for breast cancer. My friend, Jackie, is doing just this. She's participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure and today is holding a fundraising event, Blog for Breast Cancer. You can read all about it here. The basic idea is if she can get 300 blogs to post about this and then each blog has just ONE reader donate $10 then she will have raised $3000 in just one day towards finding a cure for this disease. And what if each blogger herself donated $10? That would DOUBLE her fundraising efforts to $6000. How simple and amazing would that be?

So I'm doing my tiny part to help her. I've blogged for her. Now I need just ONE (definitely would LOVE more though) reader of my blog to donate $10. You can donate directly to her at the 3-Day site here. I also pledge to donate my own $10. Meet Wilbur

Last weekend my parents' former neighbor found a piglet on a deer lease. He discovered it alone and watched it for a few hours but never saw its mom or litter mates. After a while he went up to the piglet and it came right to him. It even still had its umbilical cord. He decided to bring it home. His wife called my mom since my parents live out in the country and raise animals. Kaleigh and I were staying with my parents this week for Spring Break so we rode with my mom Monday to pick up the piglet.

We named him Wilbur, since we pray he will be *Some Pig* and *Terrific* and become a pet and not food. ;) He is so tiny and absolutely precious! He's not afraid of people, will crawl right up in your lap, and loves to push his nose against your skin. He has to be bottlefed every few hours and this week we worked on teaching him to use the litter box and today we even tried him on a leash. He's such a sweet little thing and I'm so smitten with him! My mom brought Kaleigh and me home tonight and I miss him already!

Tuesday

Feeding time!

Play time! He loves to push his nose against your skin. His favorite is pushing against your hand, almost like he's wrestling. And he pushes this mini tennis ball around with his nose, too. :)
 

Sleepy time! He sleeps in a box on a towel with a heating pad underneath. We throw in a tshirt or a stuffed bear for him to snuggle.
 

 

 

And these photos from Tuesday pretty much show what he does all day... eat, play, sleep, repeat - just like a newborn baby. :)
