My husband runs a Jeep club/forum, www.TexasJK.com. I've gone wheelin' (off-roading) with him but it's never been much of my thing because of my anxiety. I'm not a thrill seeker whatsoever because adrenaline does not mix well with anxiety. But last month I got behind the wheel for the first time and I LOVED it! It was so much fun and being behind the wheel and in control helped me overcome some fears. I was so proud of myself for trying and facing a fear. I'm not 100% over my fear by any means but I'm trying.
So this past weekend the club had an event and I drove for my second time. Here are some pics from it.
I did this same trail the first time I drove.
Getting some flex. It's amazing what the Jeep can do.
Lots of mud from last week's rain.
Trails are rated from 1 (easy) to 5 (hard) and the trail above was a 1. We came off a trail and while waiting for the other guys to finish, I asked hubby to take my pic on some rocks. It turned into me trying the slope in the pic below. Hubby said he would talk me up it and I didn't think it looked too bad so I said okay.
Once I get to the top I learn there's a tough ledge I have to get over as well and I panic. But hubby talks me up it...
Giving her some gas to get over it...
Giving my husband a high five because I made it (but I was totally shaking LOL)! :)
So I've had my hobby of scrapbooking/crafting while hubby has had his wheelin'. Now I'm adding wheelin' to my long list of hobbies. LOL
Thanks for looking!
